    SBDC Advisors are experts in helping small business owners find the loans and grants that best fit your needs. We provide one-on-one guidance on developing a comprehensive business plan and financial projections to increase your chances of getting the loans and grants you need.
  • Is the SBDC only for startups?
    No, the SBDC helps businesses at all stages and phases. We help entrepreneurs thinking of starting a business, business owners needing help growing or making their business more profitable, and we also help business owners who are ready to exit their business and transition leadership to an employee or sell the business. Not sure if the SBDC can help? Contact us anyway - if we can’t help you, we know who can.
  • Are there any costs associated with the SBDC?
    The majority of our services come at no cost thanks to our funding partners at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Do I have to be an SBDC client to use SBDC services?
    Yes, to use our full suite of services you need to sign up as a client. Signing up is confidential and free of charge. Our new client assessment will take 10-15 minutes to complete, and gives us additional information about your business in order to match you to the best advisor for your needs!
  • Is the SBDC only available to Kansas residents?
    The Kansas SBDC is just one part of America’s SBDC network with locations serving every state and most US territories.
  • Do I need an appointment, or can I just show up?
    We value your time and effort in meeting with us, so it is recommended that you set an appointment to ensure we are available.
  • Can the SBDC help any type of business?
    We are able to work with all industries that meet SBA eligibility guidelines. We cannot work with businesses involved in illegal activities.
